Penad To Provide A Major System Upgrade
For Hudson’s Bay Mining And Smelting

January 1, 1998 -- Kitchener, Ontario, Canada.
Penad Pension Services has been contracted to provide a major system upgrade for Hudson’s Bay Mining and Smelting, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Minorco Canada Limited.

Hudson’s Bay Mining and Smelting, whose mining interests range throughout northern Manitoba and Saskatchewan, has been using Penad’s PX/2000 since 1989. The upgrade to a new 32-bit version of PX/2000 for Windows will make it easier to manage the ongoing transactions of the approximately 4,500 members of the company’s pension plans. Customization of the new system is underway, with installation and staff training to begin in March 1998.
